ABOUT

Hello! I made this site as a resource for friends, family, and anyone else who asks me to recommend things to do in the places I’ve visited.

I put a lot of prep into organizing the trip before hand. I figured I don’t need to keep all the information to myself— might as well share it! If it can help out other people, then that’s all I hope for!

This platform is meant to simply share the guides I created for myself & my husband as we travel instead of keeping it untouched in a file on my computer.

The Idea:

Instead of having to consume your time, energy, and thoughts on what to do next either because:

  1. You had no plan in the first place so now you’re scrambling to find things to do DURING the trip.

    or

  2. You are determined to follow your itinerary no matter what.

You can, instead, have a guide that lists many of the popular things to do in this area that you are now able to pick and chose what you want to do that day depending on your circumstances of how your trip is going. To take it a step further, the guide also groups together which items are closest together and can most time efficiently be done in the same set aside time.

The basic run down of how I plan my trips includes:

  1. Research top things to do

    • Free verses Payment required

    • Look into places that is popular in that particular destinations

      • Ex: When planning for Japan, I informed myself on the food culture. You can’t go wrong in Japan with food, but since food was a huge part of the experience, I also looked up some iconic must-have food places/experiences.

      • Ex: When planning for Australia, Australia has lots of animals that those in the West do not have. Therefore, I looked up places where I can experience time with the animals.

  2. Organize “things to do” based off their location

    • I group locations based on their distance among each other. This way, we will be most efficient with our time instead of traveling from opposite ends of the city.

  3. Inform myself on social etiquette

    • Each place is vastly different from another.

      • Ex: In japan, it is frowned upon to eat or drink while walking or using public transportation. As someone from the go-go-go state of California, this was definitely an adjustment.

  4. Research public transportation for each city
